Principal Month

Cross County School District has spent October celebrating Elementary Principal Jessica Stacy and High School Principal Stephen Prince for National Principals Month.

“Principals often wear many hats,” said Cross County Superintendent Dr. Nathan Morris.  “They are the instructional leaders of the building, disciplinarians, and heads of building culture just to name a few.”

Celebrated every October, National Principals Month is an opportunity to celebrate and honor our incredible school principals for their visionary leadership and tireless pursuit of success for each student.

“We are honored at CCSD to have two great leaders in Stephen Prince and Jessica Stacy,” added Dr. Morris.  “Our teachers and students have been nominated for and won national awards and our test scores are consistently above the state average.  This is a direct reflection of the leaders of our buildings.”

District Executive Master Teacher Mindy Searcy echoed Dr. Morris’s statement.

“We have two of the best,” she said.  “They do a great job of setting high expectations for our students and educators.  We are forever grateful for their impact on this school.”
