McCrory School District just informed Cross County School District that they are unable to play Friday night’s game due to Covid-19. As was the case last week, we are actively seeking a replacement game for Friday night at Thunderbird Stadium to have homecoming festivities and a great game of football. As of right now, the junior high team will still play Thursday night. We will release more information and updates as soon as they become available. As always, we are thankful to have the support of a great community during this time.

The Pink Out Game is October 30th!

There will be no Senior High Football Game on Friday, October 9th. Homecoming festivities will be rescheduled for 6:00 PM Friday, October 16th prior to the football game against McCrory.

As the week closes, we have pivoted two additional classrooms to online learning for the next fourteen days. We want to thank our teachers and staff for their hard work with our in-person, blended, and virtual learners. Our staff has been here extra hours, covering additional duties, and doing everything possible so we can stay in school.
We will soon be starting our meal routes for virtual learners. If any family learning virtually would like to be added to food routes, please call the school office as soon as possible. Meal routes will also be used to distribute jump drives and supplies for our students without internet.
We are so grateful for our parents and community members for their unconditional support. They have taken the challenges of this week in stride. We will get through this together! #TBirdStrong
The Cross County School District has had one elementary teacher test positive for COVID-19 since school started. District employees and parents of students who may have come in contact with the teacher were contacted and notified of the possible contact. The District has followed protocols and sanitized all areas where the individual may have been, in addition to our everyday cleaning at the schools. In an abundance of caution, four employees and one class of elementary students will be required to quarantine. The impacted class will participate in remote learning instruction during the isolation period.
The District will continue to notify anyone who came in contact with an individual who is positive for any future cases. We are continuously working with the Arkansas Department of Health and the Arkansas Department of Elementary and Secondary Education to make sure we are following the most recent guidelines and keeping our schools as safe as possible.
We continue to encourage all parents to temperature scan and monitor students closely for any sign of potential illness. Students should remain at home if they are exhibiting any symptoms of COVID-19, including fever, new or persistent cough, headache, loss of taste or smell, fatigue, and/or stomach issues (diarrhea). We must work together to combat this virus and stay in school.
