It is with profound sadness that we mourn the loss of Craig T. Walker, Sr., a cherished member of our school community. As a long-time dedicated school board member, he played an invaluable role in shaping the educational landscape of our district. His unwavering commitment and tireless efforts have left an indelible mark on the lives of countless students, teachers, and families.

Craig was more than just a school board member; he was a pillar of our community, admired and respected by all. His passion for education and unwavering support for our schools were evident in his every action. He devoted endless hours, lending a listening ear, advocating for improvements, and implementing initiatives that enriched the lives of students.

Craig was an enthusiastic supporter of the Cross County Thunderbirds and his spirit will forever remain a beacon of inspiration, reminding us of the transformative power of education and community involvement. His legacy will continue to guide us as we carry forward the torch of his vision and dedication.

Visitation will be Friday, July 7th, 2023 at Woodard Funeral Home in Wynne from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held Saturday, July 8, 2023, at the Cross County High School Gymnasium at 3:00 p.m. Immediate family visitation will begin at 2:00 p.m. and the public is invited to enter the gym at 2:30 p.m. Burial will follow at Washington Cemetery, County Road 319, Cherry Valley. A repast will follow the burial service at the High School Cafeteria.
