Cross County High School is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Cody Goulart as the new high school principal. Mr. Goulart, who previously served as the Athletic Director, Head Football Coach, and Elementary Dean of Students, brings a wealth of experience and leadership to his new role.
Cody Goulart joined Cross County in 2020, leaving an indelible mark on the school community. His dedication and commitment to fostering a positive learning environment have made a lasting impact on students and staff alike. Prior to his tenure at Cross County, Mr. Goulart served at Sylvan Hills High School in the Pulaski County Special School District.
With 12.5 years of teaching experience, Mr. Goulart has demonstrated a passion for education and a deep understanding of student needs. He holds a specialist degree in building-level administration from Arkansas State University, equipping him with the knowledge and skills necessary to lead Cross County High School to new heights of academic excellence.
“We are excited about Mr. Goulart taking over as the Cross County High School Principal in January,” said Superintendent Dr. Nathan Morris. “He brings the leadership skills necessary to continue building upon our many positives at the school. We are confident that under his guidance, Cross County High School will continue to thrive as a center for academic excellence and personal growth.”
Mr. Goulart expressed his excitement about his new role. “I am grateful for the opportunity extended to me by Dr. Morris, our administration, and our school board,” said Mr. Goulart. “I am excited about the prospect of working with students, faculty, staff, and the community every day, as it provides me with the opportunity to not only demonstrate my love for education and administration but also actively contribute to the growth and success of our school."
Mr. Goulart is married to his wife Kasey, who is a 6th grade teacher at Cross County Elementary. They have three children, Truman, Shepherd, and Perry. “My family and I are excited to continue working in the Cross County School District,” added Mr. Goulart. “We love serving Thunderbird families and have loved watching our children become a part of our T-bird community as well.”
