Cross County High School is seeking an individual who is dedicated to helping students succeed and be a member of a great team as a special education paraprofessional. Responsibilities: Assist classroom teacher with lessons and daily classroom activities, assist teacher with paperwork such as reports, communicate with children and help them understand lessons, prepare the classroom setting to promote a healthy learning environment, ensure classroom safety standards are met at all times, provide personal care as needed/required, engage with children to enhance learning, perform clerical tasks as required, and other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Associate’s Degree or passing score on skills assessment, proficient verbal and written communication skills, strong interpersonal and social attributes including discipline and a diligent nature, patience with children including those with special needs, ability to stand and move around for long hours at a time.
