CCHS is honored to recognize Mrs. Asia Parks, high school librarian and Mrs. Rachel Luther, college and career access director as CCHS teacher and staff members of the month for August!

Each month, CCHS teachers and staff vote to select a junior and senior high student to be recognized as student of the month. The students of the month for August are Lexi Jarrett and Triston Daniels! Help us congratulate them!

Mrs. Ashlee's class is working hard to remember and apply the floss rule, so Mrs. Ashlee broke out the floss dance with an academic connection to the floss rule as a multi-sensory activity.

Look who came to visit today! Cade Morris just graduated from basic training as a member of the United States Marine Corp. We are so proud of him and excited to know he will be serving our country as a proud Marine. Please help us congratulate him on this amazing accomplishment!#proudthunderbirds #marines

Studying for a science test is fun when you get to use the Kagan Structure Quiz-Quiz-Trade! Students not only practice the academic content through this structure, but learn to provide feedback and praise to their peers. Great job fourth grade teachers and students!

Not only does Cross County High School focus on content-specific instruction, but we also focus on developing important skills our students can apply in real life. Communication skills are necessary in almost every aspect of life from the classroom to the workplace and in general interactions with others. Mrs. Lacy uses her classes to help our students become better speakers and communicators.

Parents and guardians:
Please join us for parent-teacher conferences. Cross County High School will host conferences Tuesday, September 10th from 2:30-7:00 and Cross County Elementary School will hold conferences Thursday, September 12th from 2:30-7:00. School will dismiss at 2:00 pm both days. We look forward to seeing everyone then.

Who says learning parts of speech is boring?! Fourth grade makes English fun at CCETA!

All of our students have started the year reading the picture book (K-2) or novel (3-6) version of Wonder by RJ Palacio. We have had such wonderful conversations about kindness and being a true friend throughout CCETA. Our sixth graders finished the book last week and completed multiple activities, including covering our school with positive shout out post-its. Thank you 6th grade for your kind words!
