As we checked road conditions this afternoon, we have found there is simply not enough melting to allow parents, buses and student drivers to travel to school safely. As a result Cross County School District will not be in session on Thursday, January 18, 2024. Monitor social media for any updates concerning Friday.

It's Christmas Break!
Cross County School District will be closed over Christmas Break. Over the next two weeks CCSD's social media pages are taking a break. You may see some posts that have been scheduled in advance, but the pages/inboxes will not be monitored for questions.
Phone calls, emails, and social media messages will be returned when office staff and administrators return on Wednesday, January 3.

Mr. Liebmann's Ceramics class has just finished their final project for the semester. Work shown is by Ali Kennon and Blake Holloway (shown with their work) and Julian Faupel, Lexi Bouland and Trinity Jenkins (not shown). These projects took about 7 weeks and will be shown at the art show in Forrest City in April.
December Board Update!
Countdown to Christmas Break is ON! Before we finish this short week we had to give a shout-out to a few more RESPECTFUL friends at CCE!
Reminder: School will dismiss early on Wednesday, December 20th for Christmas Break. Elementary car riders will dismiss at 1:45pm and high school car riders will dismiss at 2:00pm. Bus riders will be dropped off approximately one and half hours earlier than usual.
📢Attention Cross County School District Community:
After the Christmas concert tonight someone ran over the main water valve at the high school and we can not guarantee water will be restored tomorrow. As a result there will be NO SCHOOL on Friday, December 15, 2023. Please plan accordingly, and thank you for your understanding as we work to resolve the issue. We are sorry for the inconvenience and receiving this message at such a late notice. This day will be made up on Friday, February 16th as AMI Days are no longer permissible.
High School semester test review will be held on Monday and the semester tests will be held on Tuesday and Wednesday. Updates will be provided as we have more information.

On Tuesday, December 5th, Our select choir students traveled to our State Capital to perform their Christmas music. Select Choir is made up of 15 students who auditioned based on musical ability. Help us congratulate them on a wonderful performance.

CCE Grinch Day!

On Saturday, December 2nd, clarinet player Autry Gray auditioned against 120 clarinet players in the region to make a regional band. We are proud to announce he made the second band 16th chair out of the entire region. Congratulations Autry!
