❄️ No School Monday, February 2, 2026 ❄️
After being out on district roads today, we have determined there are still major, lengthy ice spots on several highways. In addition, icy conditions have made it unsafe for buses to turn around in key and strategic locations throughout the district. Because of this, we are unable to establish safe and reliable snow routes for tomorrow.
School will be closed on Monday, February 2.
As we prepare to return to school, we anticipate operating on snow routes for the first few days once school is back in session. Those routes will be announced tomorrow so families have time to plan.
We miss our students and we are sure they miss us, too, but safety will always come first. Please continue to watch for updates through our usual communication channels. 💙🤍

❄️ School Closure Update ❄️
Cross County School District will be closed tomorrow, Friday, January 30, 2026.
While some main roads are improving, many side roads across the district remain covered with ice and snow, making travel unsafe.
Families and staff should anticipate snow routes on Monday, and please note that a decision regarding a possible late start will be made by Sunday afternoon.
Additionally, an update regarding makeup days will be shared tomorrow.
Thank you for your patience and understanding as we continue to prioritize safety. Please continue to watch our social media for updates. 💙🩶

📍 ARcare Clinic Update
The ARcare clinic will be moving to a new location on our campus. Until a move date is officially announced, the clinic remains open and continues to see patients as usual.
During the transition, the ARcare mobile unit will be on campus and will continue seeing patients with no interruption in services.
We will share more details and updates as we get closer to the move date. Thank you for your patience and continued support.

We celebrated our second nine week award winners with our annual Pizza with the Principal trip today! These student's received either highest in math, the art award, or one of our core value focuses for those second nine weeks (humility, compassion, respect). As always, HUGE thank you to Wynne Pizza Hut for continually going above and beyond for us!

Weekly character shout out at CCE!

Did you know that most people give up on their New Year's resolutions by mid-January?! Well, that is NOT the case for our 4th grade! At the beginning of the semester they reviewed our seven core values (humility, self-discipline, compassion, respect, courage, integrity& gratitude), sorted different scenarios based of our core values, and then selected one they could work on as well as the steps they would need to take to meet their goals. Way to set an example for us 4th! Keep growing in character, it's showing!
