Let’s show our teachers how much they are appreciated this week!

Today at the elementary campus was yet another example of just how incredible they truly are. Each week, our Character Council spends time helping in the cafeteria, and no matter the task, they jump in with willing hearts and helpful hands. One of our goals for students on the council is to grow servant leaders—leaders who understand that the best leadership comes from humility and a willingness to do whatever is needed to help a community not just function, but thrive.
Our cafeteria team has been so impressed by their efforts that they wanted to celebrate them in return. On a day when we are especially recognizing them, they chose to serve once again—surprising our Character Council with a special pizza party as a thank-you.
It was a meaningful reminder of how special our school community truly is. To all of our cafeteria staff across both campuses—thank you. You are such an important part of what makes our school a great place to be.

Grateful for a new month to show some character!

Weekly character shout-out ! We have so much to be grateful for!

Due to recent internet outages at the high school campus, we will be adjusting the ATLAS testing schedule for high school students only.
🗓 Updated Testing Dates:
• Tuesday, April 28 – ATLAS Math
• Wednesday, April 29 – ATLAS Writing
• Thursday, April 30 – ATLAS Science
Please make sure students are present on their assigned testing days and arrive on time so we can keep things running smoothly.
We encourage all of our students to give MAX EFFORT, stay focused, and take pride in their work. This is a great opportunity to show what they’ve learned and how much they’ve grown.
We appreciate your patience and flexibility as we work through these challenges and continue to support our students’ success.

Today we celebrate the people who keep everything running behind the scenes. Our administrative professionals are the steady hands, the problem-solvers, and the friendly faces who make a difference in every building, every single day.
From answering calls and organizing schedules to helping students, staff, and families, their work often goes unseen but never unnoticed. They are essential to everything we do.
Thank you for your dedication, your patience, and the care you show our school community each day. We are grateful for all you do to help us educate the whole child and keep our schools moving forward.
Take a moment today to thank an administrative professional for the impact they make 💙

They are $60 each (cash or check only), and payments can be turned in to the high school office.
We only have a limited number available, so once they’re gone, they’re gone—don’t wait to get yours!

The Arkansas Department of Transportation has placed a new weight restriction on the bridge over Cooper Creek (Section 14, Milepoint 11.394) on Highway 1, just north of the intersection of Highways 1 and 42.
Due to these safety concerns, Cross County School District buses will not travel over this bridge.
Effective immediately, all buses will reroute using Highway 1B.
We appreciate your patience and understanding as we take steps to ensure the safety of our students and staff.

Dads and father figures, we would love for you to be part of something meaningful at our school. The All Pro Dad Chapter is a chance to spend intentional time with your child, build relationships, and start the day with encouragement and fun.

We are excited to welcome Dawson Ingle to the Cross County School District team!
Coach Ingle will serve as our offensive and defensive line coach while also teaching math, bringing a strong combination of classroom instruction and athletic leadership to our students.
He most recently served at Conway Christian Schools, where he was part of the 2024 Class 2A State Championship football team, helping develop high-performing athletes and contributing to a championship culture. He also has experience teaching and coaching in Oklahoma, continuing to make an impact both academically and athletically.
Dawson is joined by his wife, Laura, and we are thrilled to have them as part of our community.
Help us give Coach Ingle a warm Cross County welcome! 🔵⚪
Our students will be participating in upcoming state assessments over the next few weeks. These tests are an important opportunity for our students to show what they’ve learned and how much they’ve grown this year.
💡 How families can help:
• Make sure students get a good night’s sleep
• Encourage them to eat a healthy breakfast
• Help them arrive to school on time
• Offer encouragement and support
Let’s work together to help every student do their best! 💙

Our baseball and softball teams will begin practicing at the Cherry Valley field starting Wednesday!
