Character Council took on Fall Fest! Each member created fun and interactive skits for grades K-2 that centered around our first three values: humility, self-discipline, and compassion.
Lots of fun things happening today at the elementary! Before we kicked off our annual Fall Fest, we announced our weekly character nominees. Congratulate with us Blaire, Finley, and Bentley! Their peers nominated them for showing compassion in how they helped others in need. Thank you friends for making this place a less scary place!

Veteran's Day is November 11, 2025 and Cross County Schools is proud to honor our local heroes! Veterans are invited to join us for a special Veterans Day Lunch as our way of saying thank you for your service. We look forward to celebrating and showing our appreciation for the brave men and women who have served our country. Buses will not be using Million Dollar Road today due to water over the roadway. There could be delays on some routes. We advise all students and parents to avoid using the road as well.

We celebrated our 1st Nine Week award winners with Pizza with the Principal! Students who received highest in reading, the PE award, or were recognized for our first two core values that we focused on, humility or self-discipline, ate all the delicious pizza they could! As always, a HUGE thank you to Wynne Pizza Hut for making this possible each time!

We're inviting families and students to join in creating heartfelt holiday cards for our military members.
Please drop off your finished cards at the elementary and high school offices by October 28, 2025 from 8:00 to 3:30 daily.
Let's come together as a community to show our gratitude and make the season brighter for those who serve!
Write a holiday greeting, keeping in mind that our troops are diverse in their holiday practices and beliefs. You may decide to write a personal note. For example: How do you celebrate the holidays? What are your family memories of holidays?. The troops enjoy learning about things that happen in your hometown or region of the country. The messages can be serious or funny or both, always keep in mind that appropriate wording is important.
Sign your first name ONLY and town and state where you live. Optional things to help build a connection could include if you are currently, or have been, in the military; if you are a member of club such as Lions or Rotary groups; if you are an elected official or a first responder, etc.
If your card is homemade, please keep the size to no larger than an 8 X 11 piece of paper folded in half. Do not worry is you do not have an envelope; cards will be mailed as a group. If you have an envelope, please do NOT seal it; there is also no need to address the outside, but feel free to decorate it if you want.
