The Cross County Band and Choir did an amazing job at Monday night’s concert. Under the direction of Mr. Rikard and Mr. Coffey, the two groups filled the room with holiday cheer!




Cross County High School will offer after school tutoring beginning Wednesday, 12/11/19. English/SS tutoring will be Tuesdays and Wednesdays with Math and Science will occurring on Mondays and Thursdays from 3:30-5:30 PM. This is a great opportunity to get help for finals or last minute make up work. Contact the high school office for more details.

Cross County FFA members recently competed in the Sub Areas Leadership Events and they displayed some great skills earning them much deserved recognition! Will Searcy placed 5th in Discussion Meet, Conner McGee won the Creed Speaking Contest, Samantha Hagler placed 3rd with her Prepared Speech, and 4th in the Job Interview. Lily Bowles placed 4th in Extemporaneous Speaking, Camryn Scott placed second in Extemporaneous Speaking, and she also won the Job Interview Contest. Congratulations and good luck at District and State Contest.

Congratulations to Logan Snyder for making the ASBOA Region V Junior High All-Region Band! Logan tried out with hundreds of students from Northeast Arkansas and made first band, third chair. Great work Logan!

Today, students in BioLit participated in an activity using beans to simulate factors that change the probability of sickle cell anemia.

We are proud of these Thunderbirds! They participated in the State Special Olympics Bowling Competition in Little Rock. Two students brought home the gold, Cody Davis and Katelynn Immel. Four students earned 4th place medals: Jonathon Williams, Cathy Watkins, Madison Immel, and Louie Blankenship.

Join us Monday, December 9, 2019 for the Cross County High School band and choir Holiday Concert! The program will begin at 6:00 PM in the high school cafeteria.

Mrs. Paige’s class had the opportunity to pick out their own Christmas tree for their classroom. The students had a blast! Thank you Mrs. Paige, Mrs. Dana, Mrs. Danielle, and Mrs. Wendi for creating such a great experience for our students!




Make up picture day is Wednesday, December 4.

The Cross County Drama Club will host its 2nd annual Variety Show this Friday, Dec. 6th, at 7:00 p.m.! Admission is $2; snacks and drinks will be sold for $1 each. Door prizes will be given out during intermission. Come out and enjoy a night of talent from students and teachers!

Thursday’s home game against Newport has been moved to Friday, December 6, 2019 at Newport. All four teams will play beginning at 4:00.
