Cheer Tryout Parent Meeting Update
The Cheer Tryout Parent Meeting scheduled for Friday, March 15th has been canceled due to upcoming sporting events and the potential for severe weather. All information that was going to be provided prior to tryouts will now be sent out through Rooms. Parents of those trying out will need to click the link that will be sent to confirm that they have viewed and read the information.
Please remember:
➡️ Grades 7-9 will try out for Junior High Cheer.
➡️ Grades 10-12 will try out for Senior High Cheer.
➡️ Those who make the team and are in grades 9-12 will make up this year's Competition Cheer team.
➡️ Cheerleaders who make the teams will cheer for both football and basketball seasons.
📢 Once a Rooms thread is sent out, this will also be where we provide updates for upcoming tryout material and information.
📝 Cheer packets were sent home with each child on March 12th, and those pages must be signed and returned.
Each candidate must also have an up-to-date physical to be eligible for tryouts.
Once the teams are composed, we will schedule a parent meeting to go over additional details.
Thank you for your understanding, and we look forward to seeing everyone at tryouts!

Ms. Edna is passing the Thunderbird Trophy to someone who works tirelessly behind the scenes to keep our school running smoothly—Mrs. Annie Hill! As a high school custodian, Mrs. Annie takes pride in keeping our school clean and welcoming for students and staff. Her hard work, kindness, and dedication do not go unnoticed, and we are so grateful for all she does to make Cross County a better place every day! #ThunderbirdPride #WholeChildEducation

Thursday night was our Creature Chronicles, where our students showcased their writing about our core values. We want to say thank you for all community members that came to support these budding authors!
