🌟 Welcome to Our New 2nd Grade Teacher, Lisa Paschal! 🌟 We are thrilled to introduce Lisa Paschal as our new 2nd grade teacher at Cross County Elementary! Mrs. Lisa graduated from Brinkley High School and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education. She has been the wife of football coach Van for 39 years, and together they have 5 children: Tyler, Hope, Hannah, Becca, and Rachel. Lisa loves painting, crafts, cooking, and taking care of her 2 dogs. She is passionate about teaching reading and connecting with young children. Her favorite sport is football, her favorite color is pink, and her favorite snacks are chocolate and Dr. Pepper. Excited for football season, Lisa looks forward to winning lots of games and meeting her new students. She is very excited to be a Thunderbird and is eager to support Cross County Schools. Christina graduated from Arkansas State in May with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in General Studies. She has supported members of TAD by traveling with student representatives to Washington D.C. Currently living in Hickory Ridge, Christina has been married for 15 years and has 5 children and 5 grandchildren. She loves to travel, read, and spend time with her family. Passionate about helping all students learn and become the best versions of themselves, Christina is looking forward to her new role and making a greater impact on students. Having been a Thunderbird since 2006 when she moved to Cross County and her children became students, Christina has loved being part of this great family. Raven graduated from Harrisburg High School and earned her bachelor's degree in education from Arkansas State University in 2004, followed by a Master's Degree in Educational Theory and Practice in 2011. She has an impressive travel record, having visited 15 countries and 34 states! Raven lives in Harrisburg and enjoys reading, traveling, church, and spending time with family and friends. With 20 years of teaching experience, she is a dedicated educator and a cat lover, with three adorable cats: Biscotti, Archie, and Veronica. Raven is looking forward to making new friends and meeting her students. She is excited to be a part of our close community and to be back home. Mrs. Semonds will be teaching Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Pre-Calculus, and AP Calculus. She graduated from Brinkley High School and earned her Bachelor's Degree in Education from the University of Central Arkansas in 1992. Amanda currently lives in Colt with her husband, Billy, and they have two children and three grandchildren. Mrs. Semonds enjoys talking with God while walking her dog, Yeti, and spending time with friends and family. She strives to be a lifelong learner and set an example for those around her. Amanda is looking forward to helping young people strengthen their skills in mathematical thinking, ensuring they can be successful in any area they choose in the future. Living in Wynne with her husband Johnathan, she enjoys the Atlanta Braves, church, and baking. With five years in education and her second year teaching 5th grade, she loves celebrating her students' achievements and can't wait to see her kiddos grow. 📣 New Pre-K Procedures for the Upcoming School Year 📣 We are excited to share the updated procedures for our Pre-K program to ensure a smooth and safe experience for all our little learners! Morning Drop-Off: - All Pre-K students will be dropped off at the Elementary School each morning. - They will enjoy breakfast in the Elementary School cafeteria. - After breakfast, students will be bussed to the Pre-K building. Lunch: - Students will eat lunch in their classroom to maintain a comfortable and familiar environment. Afternoon Pick-Up: - All car riders will be brought to the Elementary School in the afternoon for pick-up. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding as we implement these new procedures.
